What is Coaching?
Coaching is a tool that gets you from
where you are, to where you want to be – faster and smarter than you
could on your own.
Weekly coaching sessions provide the
structure and focus necessary to achieve your goals. Most of us find
that whatever we seriously focus our attention on gets results.
Your coach will help you:
- Flesh out your vision and develop
a plan to make it a reality
- Hold you accountable for doing the
things you say you will do
- Stretch further by challenging you
to learn what’s possible for you
When you’re stuck, we are a resource
that provides ideas that have worked for other clients, brainstorming
and best practices that can help you over the hump.
Most of all, we provide a
confidential sounding board who’s always on your side to insure you
reach your goals. Your agenda is our agenda, and we stay
together until you achieve it.
Coaching is not therapy.
Therapy generally implies looking backward at issues to be healed. In
coaching, we take you where you are and move forward to where you want
to be.
Coaching is not consulting.
You’re not hiring an expert who will come in and write a plan for you
stating specifically what to do. You are the expert on your
life and your business. Coaching is a tool to use to get at the answers
that are right for you. From there, we work together to design a
personalized, customized plan to achieve your goals.
Coaches listen to you in a unique way
and are trained to use their special skills to develop a customized
approach to meet your needs. We respect your natural creativity and
resourcefulness, so we look to draw solutions and strategies from your
own experience. We provide the tools to enhance the skills, resources
and creativity you already have.
