  3. Be authentic.  We all have very refined B.S. detectors.
  4. Set a realistic goal.  It could be finding 3 people to follow-up with for a more in- depth conversation.
  5. Recognize networking is about building a relationship.  It is planting a seed you hope will sprout someday.
